  • Description

Ash Wednesday is an important day for many believers. According to the gospels Jesus was tempted in the desert for 40 days during the time that we call lent, so now on Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent) we use the ashes of a palm branch on the forehead as a sign of fasting, reformation, reflection, and finally celebration!

This Palm Ash Pyxis comes pre filled with 10g of palm ash. 1g serves 10-15 people depending on the application process. Stylish design features silver-tone trim and secure screw-on lid with silver-tone palm leaf design.

        Not so great in 2026

"While in years past these ashes have been quite satisfactory, in 2026 we found that they are very gritty and would not smear well when applied. Our pastor had to add a little oil to the ashes in order for them to apply properly. I hope you will resolve this issues before next Ash Wednesday!"

        — Christina (3/5)

        The pyxis worked well for

"The pyxis worked well for our Ash Wednesday service. The delivery was timely and arrived within a few days of making the order. The ashes were typical of what our church uses for Ash Wednesday."

        — Randall R. (5/5)

        This was very useful for

"This was very useful for our Ash Wednesday imposition of ashes which we do outside as a drive through during the day."

        — Camilla P. (5/5)
