This classic Advent Candle Set from Cathedral Candle Company features high-quality Stearine wax for a clean, reliable burn, making it the ideal choice for your Advent wreath or seasonal display. The set includes three purple candles and one rose candle, following the tradition and symbolism of the Advent season. Each candle measures 12" x 1 1/2", fitting most standard Advent wreaths and holders to beautifully mark each week of Advent with vibrant, consistent light.
This year, churches around the world will begin celebrating Advent starting November 28. It is a profound season beloved by many, but more profound still is the meaning behind these time-tested traditions.
Each candle is either 12", 16", 17" with a 1½" diameter base.

Stearic Candles are made with parrafin wax and stearine which is a very effective wax modifier that has been used in candle making for over 150 years. They are most common because of their lower price point and adequate for most uses.
Beeswax Candles are the highest quality in candles. The advantage of candles made with beeswax is that they burn more cleanly (less dripping wax) and burn more slowly extending the life of the candle.

Each 12-inch stearine candle provides approximately 12-15 hours of burn time. This makes them perfect for weekly Advent observances, as each candle can be lit multiple times throughout the four weeks of Advent without burning completely down in one session.
