Frequently Asked Questions
- What comes in the package?
One package contains 12 wooden raised-edge crosses with blank, smooth surfaces ready for decorating.
- What are the crosses made of and are they safe for children?
Made of unfinished smooth wood with a raised rim to contain materials. Compatible with water-based paints, washable markers, decoupage glue, and mixed media. Suitable for a range of ages and skill levels; provide adult supervision for children under 6 when using small embellishments or liquid adhesives.
- What decorating supplies and techniques work best?
Acrylic or tempera paints, washable markers, decoupage (Mod Podge), stickers, sequins, and fabric adhere well to the blank wood. The raised edge helps contain paint and glue. Allow adequate drying time between layers and seal when finished.
- How many packs do I need for my VBS or classroom?
Each pack contains 12 crosses. Order one pack per 12 participants. Example: for 30 children, order 3 packs (36 crosses) to provide extras.
- How should I finish and store decorated crosses?
After decorations are fully dry, protect surfaces with a clear water-based sealer (acrylic spray or brush-on). Store flat in a cool, dry place; place paper between items when stacking to prevent sticking or abrasion.
