  • Description

God Made Boys and Girls helps children understand that their gender is a gift from the God who made them and loves them. The story follows the girls and boys at Grace Christian School as they discuss whether boys will always be boys and girls will always be girls.

Their teacher explains that God gives each person the gift of being male or female before birth, and that a child remains a boy or a girl regardless of personality, interests, hobbies, or behavior. Examples include climbing trees, playing house, playing tag, coloring pictures, causing a ruckus, or sitting quietly.

Marty Machowski presents a clear, simple, Bible-centered explanation that all of us are made in the image of God as either male or female—and that what God made is very good. A special section for parents and caregivers at the back of the book provides biblical guidance and practical help for having conversations with children about gender and identity.
