Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is stearine wax and why is it used for church candles?

Stearine wax is a high-quality, hard wax derived from animal or vegetable fats that burns cleanly and steadily. It produces minimal smoke and dripping, making it ideal for indoor church services and ceremonies where consistent performance is essential.

  • How long do these 12" x 3" stearine candles burn?

These 12" x 3" stearine candles typically burn for approximately 8-10 hours, depending on environmental conditions such as air circulation and temperature. The stearine wax composition ensures a steady, even burn throughout the candle's life.

  • How many people does this 125-candle master set serve?

This master set contains 125 candles, making it suitable for congregations of up to 125 participants in candlelight services. The pack size is designed to accommodate medium to large church gatherings for Christmas Eve services, vigils, and other ceremonial events.

  • What makes these Cathedral Candle stearine candles suitable for church use?

These candles are specifically manufactured for congregational use with clean-burning stearine wax that produces minimal smoke and dripping. They measure 12" x 3" for easy handling, feature classic white color appropriate for religious ceremonies, and are made in the USA by Cathedral Candle Company for reliable quality and performance.

  • How should these stearine candles be stored before use?

Store these stearine candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep them in their original packaging until use to prevent damage. Stearine candles should be stored upright and away from temperatures above 70°F to maintain their shape and burning quality.
