Frequently Asked Questions

  • What colors are included in this Advent candle set?

This set includes three Sarum blue candles and one rose candle, which follows the traditional Advent liturgical color scheme. The three blue candles represent hope, peace, and joy, while the rose candle represents the third Sunday of Advent (Gaudete Sunday).

  • What are the dimensions of these Advent pillar candles?

Each pillar candle measures 18 inches tall by 3-1/2 inches in diameter. These large dimensions make them ideal for church Advent wreaths and sanctuary displays where visibility from a distance is important.

  • Why are these candles made with 51% beeswax?

The 51% beeswax composition provides several advantages including a brighter flame, slower and more even burn rate, and virtually soot-free burning. Beeswax candles also burn cleaner than paraffin alternatives, making them ideal for indoor church use during extended liturgical services.

  • How long do these 18-inch Advent candles typically burn?

Due to their large 18-inch height, 3-1/2 inch diameter, and 51% beeswax construction, these candles provide extended burn time suitable for the entire Advent season. The beeswax composition ensures a slow, steady burn that will last through multiple weekly lighting ceremonies.

  • Are these candles suitable for large church sanctuaries?

Yes, these candles are specifically designed for large church Advent wreath displays. At 18 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches in diameter, they provide excellent visibility in spacious sanctuaries. They are handcrafted in the USA by Cathedral Candle Company, a trusted manufacturer for liturgical candles.
