Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the benefits of 51% beeswax in these Advent candles?

The 51% beeswax formula provides clean, even burning with minimal dripping and smoke. Beeswax burns longer than paraffin candles and produces a steady, bright flame that is ideal for liturgical settings and church worship services.

  • What is Sarum blue and why is it used for Advent candles?

Sarum blue is a deep, rich blue color that represents the traditional liturgical color for Advent in many Christian denominations. This color symbolizes hope, preparation, and anticipation during the four weeks leading up to Christmas.

  • What are the exact dimensions of each candle in the set?

Each pillar candle measures 12 inches in height and 3-1/2 inches in diameter. These substantial dimensions create a bold visual presence and are specifically sized to fit standard Advent wreath holders used in church sanctuaries.

  • How should these candles be used in an Advent wreath?

This set includes four Sarum blue candles designed for traditional Advent wreath displays. Each candle represents one of the four weeks of Advent and should be lit progressively - one candle on the first Sunday, two on the second Sunday, and so forth through the Advent season.

  • What makes Cathedral Candle Company candles suitable for church use?

Cathedral Candle Company manufactures these candles in the USA specifically for liturgical and church settings. Their superior quality construction ensures reliable performance during worship services, with consistent burning characteristics and professional appearance that meets the standards expected in religious ceremonies.
