2009 VBS Mission Project
Teaching Tools for India Schools
Children in India hear about Jesus and many are baptized through the ministries of Christian schools, music programs, and medical work.
Most Indians don’t believe in one God, but in many false gods. This summer, students at Gadget's Garage VBS programs across the church will support the India church as it reaches out to people with God’s Word.
The 2009 VBS Mission Project will assist 90 Lutheran schools in India offer a quality education and share the Gospel. Eight of these schools teach students who are deaf, blind, or have other physical or learning disabilities and cannot attend public school. New rules by the Indian government require schools to update their technology for teaching English. Those that don’t will have to close, and opportunities to learn about Jesus will stop.
With the help of LCMS World Relief and Human Care, we can help our Christian friends in India continue their important work. Our offerings will buy new technology, like computers, to meet government rules and help nearly 20,000 students. That means schools can keep teaching about Jesus too!
Mission Leader Guide

Daily video segments featured on both the Overview and Recruitment DVD and Skit DVD provide a visual story of the children attending these schools to show following each day’s closing skit.
